Podium, Kenect or Broadly for your shop?

What Podium, Kenect and Broadly cost, who each is built for, and the questions to ask before an independent auto repair shop signs for missed-call text-back and review replies.

The short answer

All three can text back a missed call and help with Google reviews. The differences are who they're built for, whether you can see the price before a sales call, and how long you're signed up for.

  • Broadly publishes its prices and bills month to month. It's the easiest to compare.
  • Podium quotes each business. Expect a sales call and ask about the contract term.
  • Kenect is built for car dealerships. An independent shop pays for features it won't use.

What each one publishes

Checked on October 29, 2026, on each company's own site unless noted. Prices change, so confirm before you sign.

  • Broadly: published plans at $399, $699 and $999 a month, each with a $350 setup fee, billed monthly. Missed-call text-back starts on the $699 plan. Sold on their own: texting with missed-call text-back from $149 a month, and review replies from $89 a month.
  • Podium: custom quote only. Third-party write-ups in 2026 put its entry plan around $399 a month on an annual contract. Podium doesn't publish that figure, so get the price and the term in writing.
  • Kenect: markets itself as AI for dealerships and has no public price page. Software Advice lists a starting price of $199 a month.

Ask any vendor these six questions

  • How long is the contract, and what does leaving cost? Month to month is worth more than a lower annual price you can't get out of.
  • Is there a setup fee?
  • Who owns the text number? If you leave, can you take it with you?
  • Are carrier registration fees extra? Business texting needs registering with the phone carriers, and some vendors pass the fees on.
  • Does it work with my shop software? Tekmetric, Shopmonkey and others already send some texts. Don't pay twice for the same message.
  • Can I see a review reply before it posts? At least for the 3-star-and-under ones.

Where I fit

I sell a done-for-you version for independent DFW shops: every missed call texted back, every review answered within 48 hours, and a review request after every finished job, for $249 a month, month to month. You don't log in to anything; you get a one-page report. Here's how it works.

If you'd rather run the software yourself, Broadly's standalone texting and review tools are the cheapest published way in. I'll say that on a call too.
